Smart Beginnings NRV is a part of Virginia’s statewide initiative to ensure more children start kindergarten healthy and ready to learn. We serve the localities of Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski and Radford. We are not a direct service provider, but a coalition of nonprofits, public agencies and businesses working for wise public investments in the policies, systems and infrastructure that will help families make the most of the tremendous once-in-a-lifetime brain developmental opportunities that occur in the first five years of life.
